We support local organic farmers by buying the best produce directly from them – strengthening the local economy as we go.
WE EMPOWER BUSY PROFESSIONALS AND FAMILIES TO RECLAIM THEIR WEEKNIGHTS (AND LIVES) SO THEY CAN SPEND MORE TIME ON WHAT AND WITH WHO MATTERS MOST TO THEM.
We remove the massive overwhelm that can come with trying to create foods that are as equally good for your tastebuds as they are for the rest of your body.
We choose methods and materials that are environmentally friendly.
Does it light you up? Does it inspire you to bring together your nearest and dearest? Does it get you salivating over what adorns your plate?
That is certainly how we feel about it. Good food means the world to us.
In fact, since that July back in 2009 when the stars aligned and brought the two of us together, food has quite literally sat at the altar of our relationship.
And now with open arms we’re inviting you to join our table…
When I met Glen, the way he used to talk about food with such enthusiasm and sincere wisdom had me on the edge of my seat. It was clear from very, very early on that I hadn’t just fallen for a rugged and rather good looking snowboarder, but also, an artist. This guy had a culinary swagger about him that had me mesmerised and it didn’t take long before he seduced me with his kitchen flair.
When I reflect, this comes as no surprise. As a youngster, dinner time was my favourite time of day; I annoyingly perched myself on the other side of the kitchen bench, impatiently marvelling at what mum would prepare for us. Watching the effort that she so often went to in ensuring that those asparagus spears were perfectly charred and that those lamb racks were cooked to a stunning medium rare never went unnoticed to me. Those meals and the care that went into them made me feel like a very loved little girl. Such is the power of an intentional meal.
It’s also no surprise that when I launched myself into my personal growth journey (circa 2011), the first life area that got my attention was my diet.
Was what I was feeding myself nourishing me, supporting me and sustaining me?
Was I making conscious food choices, or succumbing to endless cravings?
Could changing my diet indeed enhance the quality of my life?
With the amount of food trends swirling around us, these questions took me on a dizzying adventure that included sojourns into paleo, veganism, vegetarianism and Ayurveda, to name just a few. What I’ve comfortably landed at these days, though, is a food philosophy that’s very simple and grounded at it’s roots.
I want to eat nutrient-dense, unprocessed food that’s prepared mindfully, whilst not sacrificing a smidge of flavour. We created Let Us Feed You Organics because we have a hunch that you might desire the same.
Rigid food rules, be gone!
As a former hair-dresser, bungee-jumping teacher and martini shaking bartender, Tara Bliss has always loved one thing: stretching herself and others to go beyond what they think is appropriate.
These days, as a coach, author and Kundalini Yogi, she’s still deeply passionate about guiding women beyond what feels reasonable, or even possible.
Named a ‘self-help guru’ by ELLE magazine, her teachings have been featured in Cleo, The Sunday Mail, The Daily Love and Mind Body Green.
I’m a career chef. Cooking is all I’ve ever done. I can’t imagine myself doing anything else. And I don’t want to either.
As a young surfing fella, I lacked direction. I knew I wanted to travel the world and live an awesome life, but in terms of being motivated, nothing really got me out of bed in the morning.
And then one day I found myself in a kitchen, and everything changed. I became a determined sponge; soaking in the wisdom of my mentors and progressing quickly to both sous and head chef positions. My career has seen me cooking in a kaleidoscope of arenas, from head-chefing a hatted restaurant in Noosa, to running alpine ski kitchens, working mass-production venues and most recently, remote catering in the desert.
Along the way, I learnt something undeniable: a chef’s life generally isn’t a healthy one. With late nights, 12+ hour shifts, on-demand espresso to fight the fatigue and the stress of a busy service, I was a far cry from being a beacon of health.
That’s all changed now and for years I have been cooking – and living – differently.
As a chef, nutrition was only ever a very minimal component of my training; all that mattered was the end result and often to get that result, obscene knobs of butter, mountains of white sugar and plain flour were required.
Today, those ingredients don’t belong in my pantry. Seasonal, organic and whole food options take their place – something which has gotten me excited about food all over again. The best part? That ‘end result’ of flavour is still achievable without ingredients that jeopardise our health.
Tara and I have been a great inspiration to each other. She has always cheered me in the kitchen and I’ve watched on from the sidelines as she’s chased down her business dreams while always encouraging me to chase down mine.
And when it all comes down to it, my food dream is pretty simple, really.
I intend for every meal I cook to taste as good as it possibly can. I want my food to make people happy. I want to cook great food – nourishing food that inspires me – without burning myself out and missing out on time with my loved ones.
Let Us Feed You Organics is the answer to my creative dream, and hopefully, it’s the answer to a dream or two or yours, as well.
